Over the next several weeks, we will share FAQs about the Master Plan and the Capital Campaign. We encourage all parishioners to take time to review these.   

The Capital Campaign is designed to support crucial improvements to both St. Peter Church and St. Peter School. These updates will positively impact our facilities, improve the school campus, and address the needs of our growing parish community. We are currently in the preparation phase of the Capital Campaign and will be launching the full campaign in January 2025.  The timeline for construction and improvements will be determined after the appeal is complete in early spring.   Working closely with the Campaign Chairs and Cabinet, we have outlined two main phases for our Master Plan. The goal of this campaign is to secure the necessary funds to complete all the projects in Phase 1. After this, St. Peter leadership will evaluate how best to raise the funds needed for Phase 2, which includes the construction of a new Parish Hall.  Updates will be provided to the parish regularly to ensure everyone stays informed on the project’s progress.  

We expect final costs from the architect (HKW) and the engineers (BSI) by the mid-November. We do know the total cost of the project will be significantly less than the original plans.  

The original plan featured a two-story Parish Hall, but is currently being scaled back to a one-story design, which will significantly reduce construction costs. Additionally, the initial plan included a major school addition estimated at $20 million, but this is no longer part the revised master plan. Also, the original plan included the building of a new priests’ residence at a cost of $4 million.  All of this contributed further to cost reductions.

We are not requesting gifts at this time. In early January, every parish household will receive a packet of information, which will include a request for a specific commitment to the campaign. We encourage families to take this time to thoughtfully consider their gift amount and wait until they receive the packet to make their contribution.  

Every parishioner will be invited to commit to support the campaign. We aim to involve the entire parish community, ensuring that everyone has the opportunity to contribute to the success of this important initiative.
