Dear St. Peter Parishioners,
I am excited to share the great progress we are making with our Casting Wide Our Nets campaign! Thanks to your generosity, we have already raised over $3.2 million toward our $7 million goal. What an incredible start!
Thank you to our dedicated volunteers for their hard work and to our generous donors for their faith and commitment. While we have much to celebrate, there is still important work ahead to reach our goal.
This past week, and in the days ahead, our volunteers have been and will continue reaching out individually to members of our parish community. I’d like to take a moment to share a few important reminders as we move forward:
A Word About Our Volunteers
Our volunteers have generously offered their time and talents out of love for St. Peter parish and a passion for its future. I know you’ll join me in appreciating their service and welcoming their outreach as we work together to make this campaign a success.
Personal Touch
Our volunteers have been prepared to personally connect with members of our parish about the campaign. If you receive a call or message, I invite you to:
Take the call or respond when you are able. We all have busy schedules, but a quick reply—whether it’s to chat or to arrange a time that works better for you—makes a big difference. Your response helps our volunteers as they work to connect with everyone in our community.
Be open to a short meeting. If you’re invited to meet in person, I hope you’ll consider giving just 15 minutes of your time. This is a chance to hear about the vision and goals of the campaign, ask any questions, and learn how you might be part of this exciting effort. Our volunteers are here to share, not to pressure, and I know they’ll be grateful for the opportunity to connect with you.
Have a Pledge Card? Let Us Hear From You!
If you received a pledge card, I encourage you to discern prayerfully consider your commitment. Once decided, please complete the card and return it using the provided envelope. You may also drop it off at the parish office, place it in the collection basket during Mass, or mail it back. For questions or to connect with a campaign volunteer, contact the parish office or email campaign@stpeterkirkwood.org.
Your Gift Truly Matters
The financial request you received in the letter is not an expectation. It is an invitation. I humbly ask you to pray about this campaign and what God may be calling you to contribute. Whether you are able to give less than the suggested amount or more than requested, know that your gift, whatever it may be, makes a real difference. Your participation matters, and I am so grateful for your generosity and love for St. Peter.
Thank you for your time, your prayers, and your thoughtful consideration of this important campaign. Together, I believe we can do something truly extraordinary for the future of St. Peter Church and School. You are a blessing to me and to this parish, and I thank God for each one of you.
In service to Christ and you,
Fr. O’Toole
